MBG Construction, in collaboration with SIGA and Maghreb Industries equipment, has contributed to the construction of the seawater desalination plant in Gabès. According to data provided by the regional water council, the construction works for the plant have reached an advancement rate of 80%. This project, with a daily production capacity, is expected to be operational by the end of summer 2024. The establishment of this plant will help meet the increasing demand for drinking water in the Gabès region, where the potable water deficit is projected to reach 23% due to water scarcity.​
